Safety Procedures

At Fujiyama, our hooded Teppanyaki tables and robust make-up air continuously improve the air quality with fresh air circulating approximately 30 times per hour. By comparison, a typical restaurant circulates approximately only 8 times per hour.

Our management and staff go above and beyond the local requirements to ensure your health and safety. Many of these steps were taken as we continued to serve you through our delivery and take-out menus, but now our tepanyaki tables, dining room and sushi bar are open for dine-in, we have enhanced our protocol even further to include:

  • Guests must wear masks prior to seating
  • Limiting the number of guests in the dining room per the guidelines
  • Adhering to social distancing rules at all times
  • Providing hand sanitizer to all guests and employees
  • Screening employees for temperature and other health indications
  • Requiring employees to wear masks and gloves
  • Sanitizing menus after each service
  • Continuous cleaning and sanitization practices in place throughout the restaurant including tables, chairs, doors, check presenters, waiting area and restrooms
  • Sanitization of all surfaces after guests leave the table

About Us

Fujiyama, a locally-owned and operated family-style Japanese teppanyaki steakhouse and sushi bar, has become an Augusta institution. Continuing a rich Japanese tradition, we use only the finest steak and seafood for grilling and premium quality fresh fish at the sushi bar. Our chefs are skilled cooks and entertainers.

We are open seven days a week, Sunday through Thursday for dinner and Friday and Saturday for lunch and dinner. We feature specials every day of the week in our bar and on our menu.

We Are Open and Exceeding Safety Guidlines

We are open for dine-in guests and we are going above and beyond the local requirements to ensure your health and safety. We took many of these steps during the weeks we served our customers through our delivery and take-out menus, but now that we have reopened our sushi bar, dining room and tepanyaki roo,s, we have enhanced our protocol even further to include:

  • Guests must wear masks prior to seating
  • Adhering to social distancing rules at all times
  • Limiting the number of guests in the dining room per the guidelines
  • Screening employees for temperature and other health indications
  • Requiring employees to wear masks and gloves
  • Disinfecting our menus after each use
  • Continuous cleaning and sanitization practices in place throughout the restaurant including tables, chairs, doors, check presenters, waiting area and restrooms
